Wow guys! We made it through 4 weeks in Suriname. And it’s been wild. This past week was surreal in the fact that the ministry was like out of a yearbook experience! Maybe it was just because the circuit overseer was visiting and it seems like there’s always more Holy Spirit. But really, it was the best week in the ministry we have had in a long time.

These kids came to the meeting with their Grandmother(studies on/off) and love being at meeting and commenting. So Sebastian asked if they wanted a Bible study and excitedly they nodded yes!
Wednesday we had great conversations and now have a few return visits to do! People here are religious but already we have spoken to a few that wonder if their prayers are heard.

Friday we did informal witnessing at a mall in Paramaribo. Not the nicest mall, but the young ones we were working with suggested we go there. We had an amazing conversation with a woman working at the perfume vendor. She used to study the Bible with witnesses, but there were a few things that she didn’t agree with like the blood issue and why God allows suffering. We shared some scriptures with her about how Jehovah really feels when we suffer and that not only will he heal us physically, but emotionally he can undo our trauma. She really appreciated that, and briefly we talked about our options we have personally chosen as far as medical procedures involving our own blood. Her eyes lit up as we talked with her, and she said we can visit her again. And when we left the mall, we thanked the two young ones we were with for suggesting we go there—Jehovah used them because we would not have decided to go there!

Saturday was (1)service. Seb went to a house that wasn’t on the list of contacts for the territory, found a woman who spoke English, witnessed and started a study with her. We go back on Sunday morning! Then was (2)pioneer meeting! Then (3)lunch and a family’s home! Then (4)another family invited us to hang out at a vacation house by the river! A very long but fulfilling day!!

Jehovah is so good to us!
Sunday was our last CO visit talks. Our students came to meeting!! What a joy to help them pay attention to meeting and help them comment!🥰
Then, ate dim sum (a little treat for ourselves haha), napped, then a couple invited us to their place at the construction project. So we got to see their place and got to know these friends who have left everything to do this work for Jehovah. Another local couple was there too, so it was nice to learn more about the culture of Suriname and the Auken tribe.
We love Jehovah’s people so much. 💛
