Week #3

Monday we did Family worship with our new friends

Broadcast night!.

Service here is a combination of search work and informal. Which is nice because we have addresses of English speakers in the territory and drive to them. Tuesday evening we went out with a long time pioneer sister. She is so zealous and wanted to get to everybody and that they can meet us—since she knows everyone in the territory! It was nice as she would tell them “these are my new friends and they have something they want to share with you.” then look at us and go, “okay now you talk!”. 😅 No pressure!! But we talked with everyone that evening and shared scriptures, showed the website, started a Bible discussion in the E.L.F. brochure… we have our first Suriname return visits. The last door was a young woman who the sister used to study the Bible with, and didn’t attend the memorial. But when she and Sebastian came back to the car, they were ecstatic saying she was just praying to start her study again and might come to meeting tomorrow! It feels so good to be in the ministry! This is why we are here.

Wednesday was meeting, and she did show up!

Thursday morning we have morning arrangements, and we are in the group with sister “No Name” again. (That’s literally how she introduced herself to me haha). Again, we had a great morning of reading Bible verses having nice conversations. The English speakers are usually from Guyana and are just the nicest people. So we wonder, are they just really nice?? Or are they really interested in learning more about the Bible? We will see.

Friday we have a tour of the branch project. We were there for pretty much all day lol. Met pretty much everyone on the project! Demo starts soon after all the housing is finished.

Those are the housing cabins in the back, and on the right is the old Branch building that will soon be demolished, then new permanent housing built.

To see everyone here at this project, just happy to be used by Jehovah, we are so happy and proud to be a part of His organization.

I was missing tortillas and Jehovah gave me Roti😋

Service on Saturday morning was a delight to know an older pioneer couple Lester and Esther. (Love that their names rhyme) They were so excited to know that we are here for pioneering because he is 1 of 2 pioneer brothers and are of retired age. And now there is 3 with Sebastian.

Sunday meeting and hospitality with the speaker. Man such amazing people who work for Jehovah. They give their whole life for him and have so many adventures in so many different countries they lose count.

Next week is the C.O. visit. So we will have more to catch you up on!

And Thank you to those who have left comments. They come at the right times. We have had plenty of moments where we wonder why we are even here, and doubt if we can continue…but we cry, pray, eat/sleep, go in the ministry, and feel a little better. We know this is an adjustment and we are being molded. Hopefully we come out being a useful tool.🛠️
